With the introduction of ASR, Portolan provides yet another easy-to-use solution for the integration to MS Office. ASR uses a uniform ActiveX interface to access the data stored in the Portolan application. Access to the database is made with SQL.
Thus, users are provided with a large number of standardized Excel reports and lists for both financial and asset management (e.g. open items, revenue lists, lists of account balances for AR/AP/GL, aging lists) and cost accounting (e.g. master data information, reconciliation reports, expense distribution sheets, etc.).
